1,030 farmers get seeds of rice, onions for free in Dinajpur
In Dinajpur’s Hili, over 1,030 farmers were beneficiaries of a recent distribution event where they received free chemical fertilizers, rice, and onion seeds. The ceremony, held at the Upazila Hall Room and chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Amit Roy, featured remarks from Hakimpur Upazila chairman Kamal Hossain. Organized by the Hakimpur Upazila Agriculture Extension Department, the event saw participation from local dignitaries including municipal Mayor Jamil Hossain Colonto. Upazila agriculture officer Arjena Begum detailed that farmers received essential supplies such as Aman rice seeds, DAP, and MOP fertilizer.
At least 1,030 farmers received chemical fertilizers, along with rice and onion seeds, for free in Dinajpur’s Hili on Sunday.
The distribution ceremony was held at the Upazila Hall Room at 12:00 noon, presided over Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Amit Roy.
Hakimpur upazila chairman Kamal Hossain gave his remarks as the chief guest of the programme. The event was organized by the Hakimpur Upazila Agriculture Extension Department.
Among others, municipal Mayor Jamil Hossain Colonto, upazila vice chairman Shahinur Reza Shahin, OC (Investigation) Jahangir Alam, and upazila agriculture extension officer Mejbahur Rahman were present.
Upazila agriculture officer Arjena Begum said that 1,000 farmers from one municipality and three unions received five kilograms of Aman rice seeds, 10 kilograms of DAP, and 10 kilograms of MOP fertilizer each.
Additionally, 30 farmers were provided one kilograms of summer onion seeds, 20 kilograms of DAP, and 20 kilograms MOP fertilizer each.
