37 sugar factories in Solapur are ready for refining even though the availability of sugarcane will decrease
Solapur: In Solapur district, which is famous for sugar industry, the rainy season has disappointed this year, but 37 out of 41 sugar mills have prepared to start sugarcane crushing season. For this, licenses have also been sought from the director of sugar. Although the sugarcane cultivation area this year is more than last year, due to the possibility of decrease in actual sugarcane production, the sugar factories will have to work hard to make sugarcane available. It will be clear in the next month that how many factories will survive.
Meanwhile, most of the sugar mills in Solapur district have set fire to Dhiradas, anticipating the onset of gluttony from November 1. Vitthalrao Shinde Sahakari Sugar Factory of Pimpalner in Madha taluka, which is the leader in most siltation, this year with all its branches, 25 lakhs. Plans have been taken up to crush tons of sugarcane. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will come for the lighting ceremony of this factory on October 23. Babanrao Shinde, the MLA of the NCP Ajit Pawar group, is the owner of this sugar factory. Maharshi Shankarao Mohite-Patil Sahakari Sugar Factory of Akluj has 10 lakh Me. Tons of sugarcane has been targeted.
Shankar Cooperative Sugar Factory of Sadashivnagar, Sudhakarpant Parichara Cooperative Sugar Factory of Sripur, Siddheshwar of Solapur, Siddhanath of North and South Solapur taluka, Lokmangal, Jaihind, Gokul, Sant Damaji of Mangalvedha, Utopian, Matoshree Lakshmi of Akkalkot taluka, Vitthal Sugar of Mhaisgaon in Madha taluka, Adinath of Karmala taluka, Most of the sugar factories like Kamaladevi are ready for the sieving season.
This year, two lakh 40 thousand hectares area has been registered for sugarcane cultivation in the district. Last year, sugarcane was cultivated in an area of 230,000 hectares. Although the sugarcane area is more than 10,000 hectares this year, the production of sugarcane is expected to decrease to at least 30,000 hectares due to disappointing monsoon. There is a possibility of further impact on sugarcane as there are signs of weight loss in sugarcane.
