Jyotsna Green to set up new ethanol facility in Durg, Chhattisgarh

Jyotsna Green Products intends to establish a grain-based ethanol plant with a capacity of 150 klpd at Mahuda village in Patan tehsil, Durg district of Chhattisgarh.
The new facility, spanning over 18.61 acres of land, would also include setting up a five MW co-generation power plant. In July 2022, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) accorded environment clearance (EC) to Jyotsna Green.
As per the information available with Projects Today, the company is in the process to achieve financial closure for the project. Meanwhile, the company is awaiting mandatory approvals for the project.
Work on the project is scheduled to begin by November 2024, and the contractor is yet to be finalised.
