‘Central govt selling off public sector undertakings’
Ranchi: Aiming to strengthen the INDIA bloc’s fight against the Narendra Modi-led central government , hundreds of trade unions and farmers’ organisations have come together, claimed the CPI national secretary and union leader Bhalchandra Kango in Ranchi on Sunday.
Addressing the three-day ‘Mahapadav;’ organized at Raj Bhawan by dozens of TUS and farmers’ bodies on occasion of the Constitution Day, Kango said the impact of these mass-based organizations against the central government would be seen in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
He alleged the Centre is selling off the public sector undertakings at cheap rates to big capitalists. He claimed that a large portion of the country’s resources is under control of the Adanis and the Ambanis (industrialists).
Kango said that foreign debts of the country has increase sharply in the last 10 years, adding the people would have to bear its repercussions.
The participants also submitted a memorandum at the Governor’s office demanding abolition of four ‘anti-labour’ codes and minimum ₹18,000 wage for unorganized sector workersamong other things.
