Training camp held for sugarcane farmers

The Agriculture Department organised a sugarcane training camp for the cultivators at Ajnala here on Tuesday. The camp was attended by over 50 sugarcane cultivators from the area. The experts of the department educated the farmers about varieties, farm practices and disease management of the sugarcane crop. The experts also encouraged farmers to go for value-addition of their produce by making jaggery, shakkar and other products.
