Ethanol production slows as cold snap disrupts natural gas supply

Due to disruptions in the U.S. natural gas supply caused by a cold snap, some ethanol producers are reducing output or shutting down operations.
RFA reports that natural gas suppliers are not keeping their contracts which in return is causing ethanol plants to reduce production.
The group’s president is urging regulators to monitor suppliers not delivering contracted natural gas quantities.
