Social Islami Bank distributes agri-finance to maize cultivators in Dinajpur
Social Islami Bank distributed agricultural finance at 4 per cent profit rate among 152 maize cultivators of Khansama Upazila in Dinajpur on Thursday.
Mohammad Habibur Rahman, deputy managing director of the bank, was present at the event as chief guest while Md Taz Uddin, UNO of Khansama Upazila, joined as chief discussant, says a media statement.
Md Shahriar Khan, EVP and zonal head, Rajshahi zone, presided over the programme.
Mohammad Shahid Hossain, executive director, NESCO, Rajshahi, Sadat Ahmad Khan, SVP and head of SME and AFD, Habiba Akter, Upazila Agriculture Officer (CC), Khansama, Dinajpur, along with other bank officials and executives, were also present at the event.
Md Aolad Hossain, manager of Ranirbandor branch, thanked all for their presence at the end of the programme.
Mohammad Habibur Rahman, deputy managing director, highlighted the contributions of farmers and other agri-related stakeholders for achieving food sufficiency in the country. He also pledged to disburse finance to more farmers in the future.
