98% wheat that arrived in Mohali mandis lifted: DC

Mohali: The arrival of wheat grain has begun in the mandis of Mohali district and till date, 98% of the total
produce has been procured, deputy commssioner Aashika Jain said on Tuesday.
Till date, she said, the mandis in Mohali have witnessed an arrival of 10,588 MT of wheat, out of which 10,403 MT grain has been procured. She said that the district administration was committed to
ensuring hassle-free procurement.
“So far, there has not been any issue related to the procurement arrangements. The contracts of labourers
and cartage of Kurali and Lalru mandis have also been matured today,” she further said.
