Expedite wheat procurement: DC

Ludhiana: Deputy commissioner (DC) Sakshi Sawhney said on Monday that wheat procurement was proceeding smoothly in all mandis of Ludhiana this Rabi season. She also emphasised the need to speed up lifting to prevent a glut in markets. During a review of the wheat procurement status in grain markets, the DC said that farmers should not face any difficulties and crops should be lifted from mandis on time.
