Brazil’s 2024/2025 sugarcane crop seen 3.8% down on lower yields -Conab

According to Brazil’s government agency Conab, the 2024/2025 sugarcane crop is forecasted to decrease by 3.8% due to adverse weather conditions. Low rainfall and high temperatures are expected to cause productivity losses, resulting in an estimated output of 685.86 million metric tons for the season. SAO PAULO, April 25 (Reuters) -Brazil’s sugarcane crop is expected to decline 3.8% in the 2024/2025 cycle, government agency Conab said on Thursday, as low rainfall and high temperatures are due tocause productivity losses.

Sugarcane output is seen at 685.86 million metric tons in the season.
