EIA: Ethanol Production Down 5%, Stocks Up 1%, Exports Up 2%
U.S. fuel ethanol production fell by nearly 5% to 1.023 million barrels per day for the week ending June 7, down 49,000 barrels from the previous week, according to U.S. Energy Information Administration data. Stocks rose nearly 1% to 23.222 million barrels, an increase of 170,000 barrels. Exports climbed nearly 2% to 125,000 barrels per day, up 2,000 barrels from the prior week. No ethanol imports were reported for the week.
U.S. fuel ethanol production fell by nearly 5% the week ending June 7, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on June 12. Stocks of fuel ethanol were up nearly 1% and exports were up nearly 2%.
Fuel ethanol production averaged 1.023 million barrels per day the week ending June 7, down 49,000 barrels per day when compared to the 1.072 million barrels per day of production reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, production for the week ending June 7 was up 5,000 barrels per day.
Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol expanded to 23.222 million barrels the week ending June 7, up 170,000 barrels when compared to the 23.052 million barrels of stocks reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, stocks for the week ending June 7 were up 996,000 barrels.
Exports of fuel ethanol averaged 125,000 barrels per day the week ending June 7, up 2,000 barrels per day when compared to the 123,000 barrels per day of exports reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, exports for the week ending June 7 were up 49,000 barrels per day. There were no imports of fuel ethanol reported for the week ending June 7.
