Uttar Pradesh: Prompt payment is being ensured to sugarcane farmers, says minister
Uttar Pradesh’s sugarcane sector, crucial for the state’s agricultural economy, is receiving significant attention from the government. Sugarcane Development Minister Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary emphasized ensuring prompt payments to farmers, as per a Times of India report. Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi reiterated the BJP government’s commitment to doubling farmers’ incomes, noting a 15-30% productivity increase in crops like paddy and millets over recent years.
Sugarcane plays a vital role in Uttar Pradesh’s agricultural sector, thus consistently drawing focus from the state government. Ensuring prompt payment for sugarcane has been a priority for the government.
According to a report published in The Times of India, Sugarcane development minister Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary said that prompt payment is being ensured to sugarcane farmers.
