Downward trend in prices of rice witnessed
In Lahore, the Punjab government’s effective policies have led to a significant reduction in rice prices, following decreases similar to wheat and flour. Over the past two months, prices have dropped by Rs50 to Rs60 per kg across various rice varieties. Super Kainat rice is now Rs280/kg (down Rs60), Super Basmati is Rs210/kg (down Rs50), and Super Kernal is Rs270/kg (down Rs50). This decline is attributed to improved harvests and government interventions curbing artificial inflation in the market.
LAHORE (Web Desk) – The prices of rice of different qualities have been reduced, ending artificial price hike for the commodities.
After wheat and flour, the price of rice has also dropped by almost Rs60 per kg during the last two months.
The price is decreasing due to effective policies of the Punjab government. Different types of rice have become cheaper by Rs50 to Rs60 per kg.
In the market, Super Kainat rice is selling for Rs280 per kg with a decrease of Rs60, while Super Basmati rice is selling for Rs210 per kg, which is cheaper by Rs50 per kg.
Likewise, Super Kernal rice is available for Rs270 per kg with a decrease of Rs50.
According to rice market sources, the price of rice has been decreasing continuously for the last two months.
The artificial inflation in the market has been eliminated due to better rice harvest in the last season and effective government policies.
