Expanding their SAF offering into the Asian market represents a concrete step toward advancing fuels and technologies to decarbonize air freight and the global supply chain.
In February 2022, Korean Air became the first Korean flag carrier to utilize SAF on its scheduled Paris – Seoul Incheon route. The airline also signed an MOU with Shell in September 2022 to procure SAF at major airports across Asia Pacific and the Middle East from 2026 to 2031. Committed to sustainable aviation, Korean Air plans to continue fostering partnerships with customers, energy firms, and stakeholders to support SAF adoption in the global aviation sector.
