Sugar MSP likely to rise: NFCSF President Harshvardhan Patil
Walva: The Minimum Selling Price (MSP) of sugar is likely to be increased, according to Harshvardhan Patil, President of the National Cooperative Sugar Factories Federation (NFCSF).
Patil mentioned that Union Minister Amit Shah convened a meeting in Delhi and assured that the decision would be finalized in the Union Cabinet. Sugar mills have invested in ethanol production, and efforts are underway to lift the ban on ethanol production from B-heavy molasses. Additionally, 10,000 sugarcane harvesting machines will be provided to sugar mills across the state to aid in harvesting.

Speaking to reporters, Patil said that a meeting in this regard was convened by Union Minister Amit Shah in Delhi, who assured that the decision would be finalized in the Union Cabinet.
Sugar mills have already invested in ethanol production and we are making efforts to lift the ban on ethanol production from B-heavy molasses. Furthermore, he announced that 10,000 sugarcane harvesting machines would be provided to the sugar mills across the state to aid in the harvesting process.
