Green Hydrogen boost: By 2030, India will likely have electrolyzer capacity of 60-100 GW, says Joshi
On Friday, Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi announced that India is projected to have 60 GW to 100 GW of electrolyzer capacity by 2030. Speaking at the inauguration of Ohmium’s electrolyser manufacturing facility in Karnataka, Joshi emphasized that growing demand for Green Hydrogen will drive this expansion. He praised the facility as transformative for Karnataka and India’s green energy goals, enhancing energy security by reducing fossil fuel reliance and integrating renewable sources like solar and wind.
