Three men were arrested by the Bengaluru police for running a rice pulling machine racket in Bengaluru and other parts of the state. They were cheating people of large sums of money.

These three individuals have been accused of cheating the public by pretending to own a very expensive rice-pulling machine in Bengaluru, and selling it to the public with the promise that the rice pulling
mission would cost crores of rupees. The scheme involved convincing gullible people that a strange element caused rice to move towards it, and that this element fell to earth during lightning strikes (particularly if it strikes a vessel) and has the power to pull things towards it. Simple magic tricks were used to show that rice grains scattered around a vessel were drawn by the power of the material.

The accused have been identified as Natesh (44), Venkatesh (47), and Somasekhar (47).
They were arrested along with the machine and cars used by the accused. Additionally, 332 gram of gold and Rs 28 lakh were recovered from the accused, which were taken from the public. A case has been registered against them in the Halasuru Gate Police Station.
