Stock market update: Sugar stocks mixed as market rises

MAGADHSUGAR(up 0.92%), EID Parry(up 0.79%), K.M.Sugar Mills(up 0.52%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals(up 0.51%), Balrampur Chini Mills(up 0.48%), Uttam Sugar Mills(up 0.43%), KCP Sugar & Industries(up 0.39%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(up 0.32%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(up 0.22%) and Ugar Sugar Works(up 0.19%) were among the top gainers.
Ponni Sugars(Erode)(down 5.15%), Simbhaoli Sugars(down 3.49%), Triveni Engineering & Industries(down 2.04%), AVADHSUGAR(down 0.95%), Sakthi Sugars(down 0.84%), Rana Sugars(down 0.64%), Dharani Sugars & Chemicals(down 0.55%), Mawana Sugars(down 0.52%), Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals(down 0.25%) and Dhampur Sugar Mills(down 0.25%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 101.4 points up at 18166.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 331.73 points at 61444.1at around 10:19AM.
Tech Mahindra(up 3.08%), Hindalco Industries(up 2.89%), JSW Steel(up 2.77%), UPL Ltd(up 2.59%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 2.45%), Tata Steel(up 1.95%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.69%), Infosys(up 1.68%), Wipro(up 1.62%) and Axis Bank(up 1.4%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp(down 2.6%), Tata Motors(down 1.36%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.24%), UltraTech Cement(down 1.16%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 1.03%), ITC(down 0.74%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.59%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.44%), Adani Enterprises(down 0.41%) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 0.14%) were trading in the red.
