Financial investors reduce net short position in Euronext wheat
As of September 6, non-commercial participants reduced their net short positions in Euronext milling wheat futures and options to 102,250 contracts from 118,988 the previous week. Commercial participants also lowered their net long positions to 113,984 contracts from 130,456. In Euronext rapeseed futures, non-commercial net short positions fell to 1,703 contracts from 6,511, while commercial net longs decreased to 6,151 contracts from 14,100.
Sept 11 -Non-commercial market participants decreased their net short position in Euronext milling wheat futures and options in the week to Sep. 6, Euronext data showed on Wednesday.
The net short position of non-commercial participants, which include investment funds and financial institutions, dropped to 102,250 contracts from 118,988 a week earlier, the data showed.
Commercial participants reduced their net long position to 113,984 contracts from 130,456 a week earlier.
Commercials’ short positions accounted for 43.04% of total short positions while commercial long positions accounted for 59.32% of total longs.
Non-commercial short positions represented 56.94% of total shorts, while non-commercial net long positions accounted for 40.67% of total longs.

Commercial participants decreased their net long position in rapeseed to 6,151 contracts from 14,100 a week earlier.
