Kolhapur: Kolhapur district collector Amol Yedge has announced plans to create a database for sugarcane cutters arriving for the harvesting season, which starts around Nov15 and lasts three to four months. He also asked the mills to establish Balsanskar Gruha—temporary schools—for their children. “The kids are provided with an Education Guarantee Card by the administration from their native place,” he added.
