Karnataka: Cabinet allocates designated sugarcane area of 19 villages to Mrinal Sugars
The Karnataka Cabinet allocated 19 sugarcane growing villages from Sri Someswara Cooperative Sugar Factory in Belagavi to Mrinal Sugars in Dharwad.
Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H K Patil Patil said, “The designated area earlier belonged to Sri Someshwara Co-operative Sugar Mill of Bailhongal. With their consent, the government has redistributed the sugarcane area to Mrinal Sugars.”

As per the media report, the Cabinet is believed to have made the decision on the grounds that these villages are closer to Mrinal Sugars Ltd.
After the Cabinet meeting, Patil shared the information with the reporters.
