MLA meets UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, discusses Shekhupur sugar mill issue
Budaun MLA Mahesh Chandra Gupta met with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to address the declining condition of the Shekhupur sugar mill. Gupta highlighted the deteriorating infrastructure and reduced capacity, causing farmers to sell sugarcane to private mills that delay payments. He urged the Chief Minister to consider expanding and improving the mill to alleviate hardships for farmers.
Budaun, Uttar Pradesh: Budaun MLA Mahesh Chandra Gupta held a courtesy meeting with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to discuss the situation in the district. During the meeting, the MLA informed the Chief Minister about the deteriorating condition of the Shekhupur sugar mill.
He explained that the mill’s infrastructure is in poor shape and that its capacity has been steadily declining. As a result, farmers are being forced to sell their sugarcane to private mills, which often delay payments, causing significant hardship for them.
Due to these ongoing issues, the MLA urged the Chief Minister to consider expanding and improving the sugar mill, reported Live Hindustan.
He also met with the Sugarcane Minister, Laxminarayan Chaudhary, in the first month of 2024 to address the concerns.
