EIA: Ethanol production up slightly, stocks down 2%, exports down 43%
U.S. ethanol production rose slightly for the week ending Oct. 25, reaching 1.082 million barrels per day, a 1,000-barrel increase from the previous week and up 30,000 barrels compared to last year. Ethanol stocks dropped 2% to 21.771 million barrels, marking the lowest level since December 2023. Exports saw a significant decline, averaging 60,000 barrels per day, down over 43% from the prior week, and there were no ethanol imports.

U.S. fuel ethanol production was up slightly the week ending Oct. 25, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Oct. 30 Stocks of fuel ethanol fell by 2% and exports were down more than 43%.
Fuel ethanol production averaged 1.082 million barrels per day the week ending Oct. 25, up 1,000 barrels per day when compared the 1.081 million barrels per day of production reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, production for the week ending Oct. 25 was up 30,000 barrels per day.
Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol fell to 21.771 million barrels per day, down 452,000 barrels when compared to the 22.223 million barrels of stocks reported for the previous week and the lowest level of stocks reported since December 2023. When compared to the same week of last year, stocks for the week ending Oct. 25 were up 759,000 barrels.
Ethanol exports averaged 60,000 barrels per day the week ending Oct. 25, down 46,000 barrels per day when compared to the 106,000 barrels per day of exports reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, exports for the week ending Oct. 25 were down 9,000 barrels per day. No fuel ethanol imports were reported for the week ending Oct. 25.
