EIA: Ethanol production down slightly, stocks up 2%, exports unchanged
U.S. fuel ethanol production slightly decreased the week ending Nov. 15, averaging 1.11 million barrels per day, down 3,000 barrels from the previous week’s record. Ethanol stocks rose by over 2%, reaching 22.563 million barrels, while exports remained steady at 144,000 barrels per day. Compared to the same week last year, production decreased by 87,000 barrels per day, while exports increased by 66,000 barrels.

U.S. fuel ethanol production was down slightly the week ending Nov. 15, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on Nov. 20. Stocks of fuel ethanol were up more than 2% and exports were unchanged.
Ethanol production averaged 1.11 million barrels per day the week ending Nov. 15, down 3,000 barrels per day when compared to the previous week’s record-high 1.113 million barrels per day. When compared to the same week of last year, production for the week ending Nov. 15 was down 87,000 barrels per day.
Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol reached 22.563 million barrels the week ending Nov. 15, up 524,000 barrels per day when compared to the 22.039 million barrels of stocks reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, stocks for the week ending Nov. 15 were up 911,000 barrels.
Exports of fuel ethanol averaged 144,000 barrels per day the week ending Nov. 15, unchanged from the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, exports for the week ending Nov. 15 were up 66,000 barrels per day. No fuel ethanol imports were reported for the week ending Nov. 15.
