Hyundai Showcases Flex-Fuel Capability With Creta 1.0T At Auto Expo 2025
At the Auto Expo 2025, Hyundai unveiled the Creta 1.0T, a variant with a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine capable of running on E100 ethanol fuel. Producing 120 horsepower and 172 Nm of torque, this engine shares its specs with the Venue and i20. Although not launching in India yet, the model showcases Hyundai’s commitment to flex-fuel technology and sustainable powertrain solutions.
At the recent Auto Expo 2025, Hyundai showcased the Creta 1.0T, a variant equipped with a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine that can operate on E100 ethanol fuel. This engine, shared with the Venue and i20 models, produces 120 horsepower and 172 Nm of torque.
While visually indistinguishable from other Creta models, the 1.0T version signifies Hyundai’s commitment to flex-fuel technology. This technology allows vehicles to run on a blend of gasoline and ethanol, or in this case, pure ethanol.
Although not currently slated for launch in the Indian market, the Creta 1.0T’s presence at the Auto Expo serves as a demonstration of Hyundai’s readiness to embrace alternative fuel options. This showcase underscores Hyundai’s focus on exploring and developing sustainable powertrain solutions for its vehicles.
Meanwhile, Hyundai also announced the prices for its all-electric Creta SUV, which starts from Rs 17.99 Lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
