Bangladesh : 5,750 tonnes of rice arrive from India
The first shipment of 5,750 metric tonnes of boiled rice from India arrived at Mongla port on January 20. This delivery is part of a 50,000-tonne import secured through an international tender by Bangladesh’s Directorate General of Food. Authorities have made necessary arrangements for smooth unloading.
5,750 metric tonnes of boiled rice from India arrived in the Mongla port on Monday (January 20).
Imdad Islam, Senior Information Officer and Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Food confirmed the matter.
He said the first shipment – among 50,000 tonnes of rice – imported through international tender by the Directorate General of Food, has arrived.
Necessary arrangements have already been made to ensure smooth unloading of rice
