Ukrainian grain exports in 2024/25 MY exceed 25 mln tonnes
As of January 29, 2024, Ukraine has exported 25.353 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops in the 2024/25 marketing year, with 3.121 million tonnes shipped this month alone. This is an increase from 23.146 million tonnes by the same date last year. Key exports include 10.7 million tonnes of wheat, 2.064 million tonnes of barley, and 12.166 million tonnes of corn. Flour exports total 43.3 thousand tonnes.
According to operational data of the State Customs Service, as of January 29, Ukraine has exported 25.353 mln tonnes of grain and leguminous crops since the beginning of the 2024/25 MY, of which 3.121 mln tonnes have been shipped since the beginning of the current month, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine reported.
At the same time, as of January 30 last year, total shipments amounted to 23.146 mln tonnes, including 4.582 mln tonnes in January.
In particular, since the beginning of the current season exported:
– wheat – 10.7 mln tonnes (in MY 2023/24 – 9.027 mln tonnes);
– barley – 2.064 mln tonnes (1.4 mln tons);
– rye – 10.8 thousand tons (1 thousand tons);
– corn – 12.166 mln tonnes (12.465 mln tonnes).
Total exports of Ukrainian flour since the beginning of the season as of January 29 are estimated at 43.3 thousand tonnes (52 thousand tons in MY 2023/24), including wheat flour – 39.9 thousand tonnes (48.6 thousand tons)
