MSP for wheat will be 2,600 per quintal: Madhya Pradesh CM


Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav announced wheat procurement at ₹2,600 per quintal this year, increasing to ₹2,700 next year. Speaking at a farmers’ event in Sagar, he also promised a ₹2,000 per hectare rice bonus and incentives for milk producers. He emphasized ongoing efforts to double farmers’ incomes and boost irrigation in Bundelkhand.
Bhopal: CM Mohan Yadav on Friday reaffirmed that the state govt will purchase wheat at Rs 2,600 per quintal this year, and promised to increase it to Rs 2,700 per quintal next year. Additionally, he announced a Rs 2,000 per hectare bonus on rice and assured that milk producers would also receive a bonus. He was addressing the Kisan Maha Sammelan at the three-day cultural fair in Gadhakota, Sagar.He also assured that the Sagar-Damoh road will be upgraded to a four-lane highway. During the event, Yadav distributed the benefits of various govt schemes to five beneficiaries from the stage. Yadav further stated that PM Narendra Modi was committed to honouring both the jawans protecting the borders and the farmers cultivating the fields.
He emphasised that the central and state governments are continuously working to double farmers’ incomes. He assured that in the coming years, lakhs of hectares of land in Bundelkhand will be irrigated. He also urged farmers to safeguard their land, assuring them that they would receive full benefits from it, leading to agricultural prosperity.
