Himachal Pradesh Govt to procure wheat at Rs 2,425 per quintal MSP

The Himachal Pradesh government will procure wheat at an increased MSP of Rs 2,425 per quintal for the 2025-26 rabi season. Procurement will run from April 8 to June 15 through 10 designated centers across four districts. Farmers must register online, and payments will be processed within two days. Wheat must meet quality standards.

The state government will procure wheat at the increased Minimum Support Price (MSP) of Rs 2,425 per quintal for the rabi procurement season 2025-26.

A spokesperson for the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department said the procurement would be conducted through the Himachal Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation (HPSCSC) in designated markets in the state.

He said, “To ensure smooth procurement, 10 procurement centres have been identified in four districts in coordination with the Himachal Pradesh State Agricultural Marketing Board.” He added that in Kangra district, wheat would be procured in Fatehpur, Riyali, Milwan and Nagrota Bagwan, while the centres in Sirmaur district would be opened at Paonta Sahib, Dhaula Kuan.

In Solan district, wheat would be procured at the market yards at Nalagarh and Baddi Malpur and in Una district, it would procured at Takarla and Rampur.

The spokesperson said that the procurement would be procured from April 8 till June 15. He urged farmers to get themselves registered at hpappp.nic.in . “To ensure timely payments, the government has mandated that farmers would receive their dues within two days of selling their crop. The wheat must be clean, dry and meet the prescribed quality standards for procurement,” he added.

He said that the farmers seeking further assistance could contact their respective District Controller of Food and Civil Supplies or the Regional Manager of the HPSCSC.
