The ruling, welcomed by farmers in Nanded, ensures justice for sugarcane growers amid ongoing payment arrears of Rs 6,000 to 7,000 crore.
Nanded News: The court recently heard a petition led by Raju Shetty, founder of Swabhimani Shetkari Sanghatana, regarding a lump sum FRP, and ruled in favor of the sugarcane farmers in the state and overturned the state government’s decision.
In this court battle that has been going on for three years, the central government had illegally tampered with the FRP in one amount without the state government having the authority in the laws made by it .
