Mega Oil Palm drive launched in Lower Dibang Valley

Shillong, May 13: 3F Oil Palm Pvt Ltd launched the Mega Oil Palm Plantation Drive to boost sustainable farming and reduce India’s reliance on edible oil imports. Held on May 11, the event saw support from Agriculture Minister Gabriel D Wangsu. The initiative aims to empower rural communities, promote green development, and advance the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.

Shillong, May 13: 3F Oil Palm Pvt Ltd launched the Mega Oil Palm Plantation Drive, a landmark initiative to advance sustainable agriculture and enhance India’s self-reliance in edible oil production.

The launch event was held on May 11 at ARA Camp, Abali Road, in the presence of Gabriel D Wangsu, Minister of Agriculture.

The drive marks a significant step towards green development, rural empowerment and the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat. The initiative is expected to boost local livelihoods and contribute to reducing India’s dependency on imported edible oils.

Dignitaries at the event highlighted the importance of promoting sustainable crop cultivation and welcomed the collaborative efforts of industry and government. They emphasised that such initiatives would pave the way for long-term economic growth, increased farmer participation and regional development across the oil palm ecosystem.
