Ukraine exported 2 mln tons of new harvest wheat

Ukraine exported 3.4 million tons of grain and legumes in MY 2025/26 as of August 22, about half last season’s level. Wheat exports fell to 2 million tons, barley to 504 thousand, and corn to 846 thousand, with no rye exports. Flour shipments dropped sharply to 7.6 thousand tons from 71.1 thousand.

The volume of grain and leguminous crops exports from Ukraine in the MY 2025/26 as of August 22 amounted to 3.4 million tons, which is almost half the figure of the previous season. This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service.

Thus, 2 million tons of wheat were exported, which is 1.5 times less than last year’s volumes.

Barley supplies to foreign markets amounted to 504 thousand tons compared to 1.1 million tons on the same date last season.

Rye has not been exported since the beginning of the season.

Corn was exported in 846 thousand tons, which is 2.6 times less than shipments last season.

Flour exports from Ukraine amounted to 7.6 thousand tons, which is 172% less than last year’s figure.

For reference: in the 2024/25 MY, exports of grain and leguminous crops amounted to 40.6 million tons: wheat – 15.7 million tons; barley – 2.3 million tons; rye – 10.8 thousand tons; corn – 22 million tons; flour – 71.1 thousand tons
