India: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the expansion of Padma Shri Dr Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil Cooperative Sugar Factory in Pravara Nagar, Maharashtra, on October 5, highlighting the state’s cooperative legacy.

Mumbai: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the expansion project of the Padma Shri Dr Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil Cooperative Sugar Factory at Pravara Nagar on October 5.

Maharashtra minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, son of Balasaheb Vikhe Patil and grandson of Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil, considered a pioneering figure in the state’s cooperative movement, shared details of Shah’s visit while speaking to reporters.

“Amit Shah will be visiting Loni, which is known as the land of cooperation, for the second time. Earlier, soon after he took charge of the Cooperation Ministry, he had attended Maharashtra’s first cooperative conference here,” Vikhe Patil said.

Shah will inaugurate the factory’s expansion project, the minister added.
