Myanmar : MRF targets to reach 1.8MT of rice export in H2 FY 2025-2026
The Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF) targets 1.8 million tonnes of rice exports in H2 of FY 2025-26, aiming for 300,000 tonnes per month. In H1, Myanmar exported 1.2 million tonnes, earning US$408 million, mainly to China, followed by the Philippines and Spain. Total exports for FY 2024-25 reached 2.48 million tonnes valued at over US$1.12 billion.
The Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF) aims to meet rice export of 1.8 million tonnes during the second half of the current financial year 2025-2026, with 300,000 tonnes of rice per month.
Myanmar’s rice export exceeded 1.2 million in the first half (April-August) this FY, bagging US$408 million. Myanmar mainly exported rice to China with 346,919 tonnes of rice and 247,985 non-premium rice, followed by the Philippines and Spain.
Myanmar conveyed 2.48 million tonnes of rice export in the FY 2024-2025, with an estimated value of over 1.12 billion.
