Algeria held a tender for the purchase of wheat

Algeria’s state grain agency OAIC held a tender on November 11 to buy at least 50,000 tons of milling wheat of any origin. Traders estimated prices at $263–264 C&F for Mostaganem and $270–271 C&F for Tenes, with likely supply from the EU or Black Sea region for Dec–Feb delivery.

On November 11, the Algerian state-owned company OAIC held a tender for the purchase of at least 50,000 tons of milling wheat of any origin, according to Reuters.

The purchase volume was not disclosed. The price was $263-264 C&F for delivery to the port of Mostaganem and $270-271 C&F for delivery to the port of Tenes. Traders believe the wheat will be sourced from the European Union or the Black Sea region.

Under the tender terms, the wheat will be shipped from December 1, 2025, to February 15, 2026, if it is of European or Black Sea origin. For grain from South America or Australia, the deadline is extended by one month.
