Russia’s Ministry of Agriculture has increased the export duty on wheat

Russia will reintroduce a wheat export duty of 109.1 rubles per ton from December 24, after two weeks at zero. Barley and corn duties remain zero. The rates, based on slightly lower indicative prices, will apply until December 30, reflecting ongoing adjustments to stabilize grain export markets.

The export duty rate on wheat exports from Russia as of December 24 will amount to 109.1 rubles per ton. This is indicated by data from the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.

It should be recalled that prior to this, the rate remained at zero for two weeks.

Export duties on barley and corn from the same date will remain at zero.

The rates were calculated based on the following indicative prices: $227.0 per ton for wheat ($227.1 in the previous period), $219.2 for barley ($218.2), and $202 for corn ($205.5).

The new rates will be in effect until December 30.
