Ukraine’s grain exports down one-third in first half of MY 2025/26
Ukraine’s grain exports fell 29% in the first half of MY 2025/26, totaling 15.3 million tons. Wheat shipments dropped 19% to 7.8 million tons, corn fell 38% to 5.9 million, and barley declined 34% to 1.3 million. Flour exports reached 34.3 thousand tons, down 8% year-on-year.
Grain exports from Ukraine in the first half of the MY 2025/26 were 29% lower compared to the same period last season, according to the Ministry of Economy, citing data from the State Customs Service.
As of December 31, 2025, a total of 15.3 million tons of grain and flour had been shipped abroad.
Breakdown by crop:
- Wheat: 7.8 million tons, down 19% year-on-year;
- Corn: 5.9 million tons, down 38%;
- Barley: nearly 1.3 million tons, down 34%.
Flour exports reached 34.3 thousand tons, 8% below the levels recorded in the previous year.
