Turkey will hold tenders for the purchase of feed grain
Turkey’s Grain Agency will hold international tenders to purchase 175,000 tonnes of feed barley on March 13 and 280,000 tonnes of feed corn on March 16. Shipments are scheduled from late March to mid-April to several Turkish ports, with only imported corn eligible for the tender.
On March 13, the Turkish Grain Agency (TMA) will hold an international tender for the purchase of 175,000 tons of feed barley, Reuters reports.
The shipments will be made in batches of 10,000-25,000 tons from March 25 to April 17 to the ports of Iskenderun, Adana, Mersin, Izmir (Bandırma), Tekirdağ (Samsun), and Trabzon.
On March 16, TMA will hold an international tender for the purchase of 280,000 tons of feed corn. According to the tender terms, the shipments will be made in batches of 20,000-25,000 tons from March 25 to April 10 to the ports of Izmir (Bandırma), Samsun (Karasu), and Derince.
According to traders, corn shipments imported to Turkey or already in customs warehouses are eligible for the tender. Corn originating in Turkey is not eligible for the tender.
