Egypt, Algeria and Indonesia are the leaders among buyers of Ukrainian wheat

Ukraine exported 9.03 million tonnes of wheat during the first eight months of the 2025/26 marketing year. Egypt, Algeria and Indonesia were the largest buyers, highlighting strong demand from Mediterranean and Southeast Asian markets, which continue to rely heavily on Ukrainian wheat supplies.
Ukraine exported 9.03 million tons of wheat in 8 months of the MY 2025/26 .
This was reported by the Ukrainian Grain Association on Facebook.
It is noted that the leaders in grain purchases were the countries of the Mediterranean region and Southeast Asia.
The top 10 buyers of Ukrainian wheat look like this:
- Egypt – 2.36 million tons;
- Algeria – 1.6 million tons;
- Indonesia – 1.4 million tons;
- Yemen – 758 thousand tons;
- Vietnam – 531 thousand tons;
- Lebanon – 322 thousand tons;
- Spain – 304 thousand tons;
- Tunisia – 284 thousand tons;
- Italy – 197 thousand tons;
- Thailand – 177 thousand tons.
