Canada’s grain exports have fallen by 2% this season.

Canada exported 41.1 million tonnes of grains, pulses and oilseeds during August 2025-May 2026, down 2% year-on-year. Wheat and durum exports increased, while barley, canola and corn shipments declined sharply, with corn exports falling 76% compared to last season.

During the forty-week period of the current season (August-July), Canada exported 41.1 million tonnes of grains, pulses, and oilseeds, down 2% from the same period last season, according to Zerno Online, citing the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC).

Bread wheat exports from August 1, 2025, to May 17, 2026, increased to 17.9 million tonnes, up 3% from last season. Durum wheat exports increased by 1% to 4.8 million tonnes, and barley exports decreased by 76% to 3.0 million tonnes.

However, canola exports decreased to 6.9 million tonnes (down 15% from the same period last season) and corn exports to 0.5 million tonnes (down 76%).
