Considering last year’s fall season, out of 211 sugar mills in the state, only 13 mills paid more than 3000. Around 198 sugar mills gave less than 3 thousand to the farmers. Among them 12 sugar mills paid less than 2000 to the farmers.

How much will the farmers’ sugarcane get this year?

According to the order issued by the central government, the farmers will get a price of Rs 3150 per tonne. This price will be applicable for an average extract of 10.5 percent. If there is an increase in sugarcane output than the average, then every 0.1% percent will have to pay an increase of Rs 30.7 per tonne. At the same time, if the yield of sugarcane is less than the average, the price will decrease by 30.7 rupees per ton for 0.1% percent. Only if the overall factory output is 10.5%, the farmers will get 3150 FRP announced by the central government. Meanwhile, the amount is paid to the farmers after deducting the cost of felling and transportation from the FRP.
