Adani Wilmar back in black in Q2 with Rs 311-crore profit, shares surge 6%
Adani Wilmar Ltd reported a consolidated profit of ₹311.02 crore for the September 2024 quarter, reversing a loss of ₹130.73 crore year-on-year. Revenue from operations rose 18% to ₹14,460.45 crore. EBITDA reached ₹566 crore, up from ₹144 crore, with margins improving to 3.9%. Shares surged 6.22%, trading at ₹338.5 on the NSE.
Adani Wilmar Ltd on Thursday returned to black with a consolidated profit of Rs 311.02 crore in September 2024 quarter of the current fiscal. The edible oil major had reported a loss of Rs 130.73 crore in July-September quarter of preceding 2023-24 fiscal, the company said in an exchange filing. In June 2024 quarter, the company had reported a net profit of Rs 313.20 crore.
The revenue from operations of the company was up 18 percent at Rs 14,460.45 crore in the September 2024 quarter against Rs 12,267.15 crore on-year.
The total income of the company increased to Rs 14,565.30 crore in the reporting period from Rs 12,331.20 crore a year ago, while the total expenses of the company increased to Rs 14,163.43 crore from Rs 12,439.45 crore in the same period a year ago.
The EBITDA was reported at Rs 566 crore against Rs 144 crore year-on-year, while the margin was reported at 3.9 percent against 1.2 percent on-year.
Shares of Adani Wilmar surged 6.22 percent to quote at Rs 338.5 per share on the NSE at around 3.15 pm. The stock has been gaining for the last two days and has risen 7.91 percent in the period.
