Andhra Pradesh : Over 2,700 kg PDS rice seized in Vizianagaram district
Vizianagaram: The Srikakulam district police seized over 2,700 kgs of rice meant to be distributed under the public distribution system (PDS) scheme and arrested one person at Ramakrishnapuram locality of Gara mandal. The investigation has revealed that one trader procured the PDS rice and used to sell it to poultry farms in the district. A case has been registered and further investigation is on to nab a few others in connection with the case.
