Argentina increases ethanol prices for second time this month

In Argentina, following complaints last week by biofuel producers that the 20% price increase announced by the government wasn’t enough to compensate for the 30% increase in production costs due to inflation, Reuters reports the government approved another 68 cent per liter increase for corn and sugarcane-based ethanol. With triple digit inflation causing major price increases, the government already increased ethanol prices earlier this month but was forced to raise them again.
