Bangkok Aviation Fuel Services keen to sell sustainable aviation fuel

Bangkok Aviation Fuel Services (BAFS) aims to offer genuine sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) with traceable raw materials, supporting environmental sustainability and carbon neutrality by 2050. Achieving carbon neutrality in 2019, BAFS emphasizes ongoing efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve oil transportation, and transition to electric vehicles. BAFS President ML Nathasit Diskul stresses the importance of SAF with environmental credentials for sustainable growth, aligning with global standards.

Bangkok Aviation Fuel Services (BAFS) is not only keen on selling sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), but also wants to offer “real” SAF to its customers, reported Bangkok Post.

The authenticity claim pertains to the traceability of raw materials used in producing this biofuel for aircraft, ensuring that SAF genuinely contributes to environmental sustainability.

As part of its efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, balancing greenhouse gas emissions and absorption, BAFS is focused on distributing and producing SAF that meets international standards.

BAFS achieved carbon neutrality in 2019 but views this milestone as insufficient for ensuring sustainable business growth, according to BAFS president ML Nathasit Diskul.

He emphasized the company’s ongoing commitment to further reducing carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions across its operations.

ML Nathasit highlighted that promoting SAF with environmental credentials, along with plans to enhance oil transportation, transition to electric vehicles (EVs), and increase renewable energy use, are integral to achieving BAFS’s long-term sustainability goals.
