As reported by news agency PTI, the announcements come two days ahead of the first phase of voting in the state on November 6.

Tejashwi Yadav further said that “all farmers will be given Rs 300 per quintal of paddy and Rs 400 for wheat as a bonus over the Minimum Support Price (MSP), if the INDIA bloc comes to power,” as cited by news agency PTI.

Yadav also added, “Besides, we are also planning to give an honorarium to managers of the registered 8,400 Vyapar Mandals and PACS in the state, if we form the government,” as cited by PTI.

The 243-member Bihar Assembly will go to polls in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with results set to be announced on November 14.

Tejashwi Yadav confident of forming government

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader also said that the swearing-in ceremony will take place four days after the results of the assembly polls are declared.

The INDIA bloc’s Chief Ministerial candidate further asserted that “On November 14, the results of the Bihar assembly polls will be declared, and on November 18, swearing-in will take place,” as cited by news agency PTI.

He further made the remark while reacting to the arrest of Anant Singh, former Mokama Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), who is in the fray from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United).
