Brazil’s sugar exports hit new annual record by October

Brazil set a record for sugar exports in October 2024, shipping 3.73 million tonnes—a nearly 1-million-tonne increase from last year. India, Indonesia, Egypt, and the UAE were the largest importers. From January to October, Brazil exported 32.14 million tonnes, surpassing the total 2023 figure of 31.3 million tonnes, as per SECEX data.
