Someshwarnagar (Pune): Someshwar Cooperative Sugar Factory in Baramati taluka has broken the sugarcane price dilemma in the state and has announced a price of 3 thousand 350 rupees for sugarcane refined in the year 2022-23. The factory administration said that the Someshwar factory has become the first factory in the state to break the last year’s price crisis. On this occasion, Vice President Pranita Khomane, Executive Director Rajendra Yadav as well as Directors Rajvardhan Shinde, Sambhaji Holkar, Sunil Bhagat, Shailesh Raskar, Laxman Gofane, Anand Kumar Holkar, Sangram Sorte, Rishi Gaikwad, Jitendra Nigde were present. Last year, Someshwar factory paid FRP of Rs 2,846 for broken sugarcane. In this, the Board of Directors had added Rs. 54 per ton and paid Rs. 2 thousand 900 to the members. Therefore, the members of Someshwar factory will still get Rs. 450 per ton. However, the possibility of reducing the education fund and return deposit cannot be ruled out by taking the permission of the members in the general annual meeting which is going to be held soon.
Someshwar factory last season 12 lakh 56 thousand 768 May. Tons have been filtered and 14 lakh 67 thousand 950 bags of sugar have been produced with an average of 11.926 percent sugar content.
