Cane growers to launch protest
Hubballi: The Uttara Karnataka Raita Kabbu Belegarara Sangha will protest against Shivasagar Sugar Factory for not returning share amounts and unpaid sugarcane dues, announced state president Basavaraj Karigar. The factory in Udapudi, Ramdurga taluk, failed to pay during the NCLT auction process. The Sangha will hold an all-night protest on July 4 in front of the factory until the dues are settled.
Hubballi: Uttara Karnataka Raita Kabbu Belegarara Sangha will launch a protest against Shivasagar Sugar Factory for not returning the share amount, said state president, Basavaraj Karigar. Speaking here on Tuesday, Karigar said the sugar factory in Udapudi of Ramdurga taluk failed to pay sugarcane dues to the growers during the auction process at the NCLT and to return the money of 75,000
shareholders.
He said the Sangha will hold an all-night protest on July 4 in front of the factory until the dues are paid. TNN
