The Central Government has scheduled a meeting with Punjab’s Rice Millers to address concerns related to the ongoing paddy procurement season, as announced by Tarsem Saini, President of the Rice Millers Association. Union Minister Prahlad Joshi and Minister of State Ravneet Bittu will discuss issues such as the delay in lifting old stocks and the procurement of the PR 126 paddy variety, which are crucial for timely processing and pricing. This was revealed by Tarsem Saini, President of the Rice Millers Association, Punjab.
According to Saini, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi and Union Minister of State Ravneet Bittu will engage with the millers to address the challenges they are currently facing. “The lifting of old stocks and the procurement of the PR 126 variety of paddy are among the key concerns that will be discussed during the meeting,” Saini said.
